    Turbo m20 e30 track car

Figured as I'm approaching my start of the turbo part of my build, now is a good time to start keeping track of the build. Plan is to turn my current e30 project into a reliable 3-400whp ripper. I'll start with an intro of the car. Bought about a year and a half ago out of Texas and i drove it back up to Minnesota. Made it all the way but as it got hot the tranny liked to slam into gears after a brief 5 second wait. LOL. Plan was to manual swap it anyway. Of course the car was rougher than I anticipated, leaks, small rust spots, bondo, etc but that's part of the game i suppose.
Heres the rundown of what im going for. full track capability but still can enjoy it on the street. I want 400whp on e85 out of a turbo m20 that i can turn down as i desire for track use.basic m20 stuff, headgasket, headstuds, a standalone and upgrade everything necessary to make it reliably.

    When I bought the car.

After many nights of fixes, small body work and such i started doing some small mods. Started with removing the auto trans and putting a manual in it. Only took a day so it wasn't bad at all. I put a used stock clutch in (I regretted it later)

Left it pretty much like that and did my first track event with it. It went pretty well, started to snow a touch and last day i had a causality. my clutch was done.

decided an upgrade was necessary since the future holds boost. went with a spec stage 3+clutch and aluminum lightweight flywheel. rev matching is a dream now...

After that got upgraded sway bars from Ireland engineering, sparco racing seats, half cage, sabelt 6 point harnesses, carbon fiber sunroof delete, adjustable and reinforced rear subframe, dinan chip,
some upgraded brake pads removed a bunch of sound insulation, sunroof cassette metal, and anything extra i didn't need, (found a better use for the rear seat anyway), yes i am currently in the process of cleaning up the back seat area.

After all that aligned it and set it on the scales. not corner balanced as it has lowering springs right now. coils in the future.

after this i started acquiring some minor build parts, found this freshly rebuilt holster hx35 for a decent deal, a manifold from someone
(its a rapidspool thats been ceramic coated. yes i know the can have boost creep issues.)
3.73 lsd, condor speed shop door cards, stainless steel brake lines, a stromung catback exhaust (will be replaced when i get the turbo installed.)
a second set of apex wheels. fender flares from kamotors since whoever rolled my fenders previous to my ownership tried to make an airplane out of them.

How does the carbon fiber sunroof delete panel fit? Spot on or require some tweaks?

Fits very well honestly for an aftermarket body part. Got it from dtm fiberworks. I used self tapping screws and window sealant. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk

Grabbed an akg shifter and dssr. Then I bought an oil pan to install an oil baffle into as well as get a an12 fitting welded to it for a turbo drain. Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk

Installed some of the goodies, after moving across country getting the time to get some of this stuff done was difficult. dssr, akg shifter, door panels,
new shift and ebrake boot in suede, got a clutch stop to help with a universal short feel so the clutch throw wasn't so long. Fully installed the flares with weather stripping. still need to install the side moldings.
new turn signals, wiring, bumper painted new euro front trim. Dont mind the wheel gap have some spacers for now while i find some wheels.

Found a set of volk gtp faces in 4x100. going to get these made up to fit perfect, hoping for a 275 rear tire if possible.

Forgot about these pictures new garage since moving, exhaust looks alot better. stromung exhaust has been on for a while. clutch stop is in with new pedal covers, strut brace polished aluminum.
dont mind the faded black carpet, needs to be replaced or re dyed.
