I've driven one with an 88 T-bird swap, and it was meh. Not at all what I hoped for having driven a 2.3 NA Ranger for some years.

Sadly the turbo Limas are neither reliable (arguably never were) or cheap these days, and it would be a lot like putting a stock M50 in an E30 today.

I kind of want to put a turbo 2.3 in a lowered BroncoII to make a Ford version of the Typhoon too…

although there are better engine options the 2.3 is pretty solid, cheap, drops in, and is period correct.

    what else could you want??

not to late to do it!!!
Honestly, been leaning a little more towards that recently, since it will still be a practical daily.... The 302 is going to be a gas guzzler, so the SVO engine is really appealing to me..

Lifted the front of the truck about another 1.5 inches to get rid of my rubbing issue when the front would dip. Also, replaced the shocks with the new Bilstein 5100s. Rides incredibly better and looks a lot better too. Also the new color scheme they did on the shocks looks way better imo

It looks pretty damn good now.

Got a bunch of shit to do a paint correction on my E30, so I though I would practice on the shit ranger before I go at the BMW and was pleasantly surprised by the results.

If only the hood and roof had clear coat left on them... The truck would look half way presentable, but that's not the point or mission I have for this truck.
