Everyone I've ever known to file a complaint with Fedex has had bad luck.

Ive had bad luck with UPS, but UPS ended up bending over backwards for me after I called and complained everyday for 2 weeks on my last go-round with them.

Seems like lately, they've been hiring kids with autism or something to push the packages into the truck to save on costs. Pretty shitty if you ask me. Never thought they would resort to that.

he didnt even accept the pallet. he refused it , sent it back without even contacting me and is now asking for a refund but wont send me pics of any damage other than this pic.

      Second thoughts?

Tell him he should have thought about before he made his purchase, not your problem his boyfriend doesn't like him spending money on car parts.

        Hey Blunt

I am 100% sure the block is in perfect condition. It wasn't refused because of damage, but just because your client changed his mind. Pretty uncool way to make business. Therefore, he's not entitled to any refund unless, as a good will gesture, you agree to. You are entitled to charge a restocking fee + shipping expenses. If the customer doesn't agree, then fuck him. You have all the paperwork in your favor. Guy may go to small claims, and will loose.

that was my thought too but im not jumping the gun until i get the block back and can inspect it. i want to be fair. he wont send me any pics except those 2 though. first he told me he inspected it and found "what appeared to be damage" and in a second email he told me he was at school when his dad received the block and his dad refused it. i keep asking for pics of the actual block but he wont send any. i special ordered these blocks (6 of them) from germany and i cant just say "send them back". from everything ive gotten from him so far it sounds like he changed his mind but we will see. ive been paid for everything except the shipping.

Sounds like this guy has buyers remorse or needed the money for something else.

Did he agree to any type of return policy when he made the purchase?

              Is there anything in writing?

If he paid for them, then refused delivery and sent them back, he should be responsible for all shipping charges plus a 15% or whatever restocking fee and no refunds on special orders.

If this fact was made clear to him, especially in writing that there are no refunds on special orders, then tell him to go pound sand and to pay what he owes unless he wants to go to court, where you will also sue for attorney fees.

It sounds like he's trying to claim they were damaged to avoid paying for them.

Maybe he spent money that daddy didn't approve and thus the shipment was refused and he's trying to weasel his way out.

Or maybe he used daddy's credit card... and daddy-o found out.

Engine block mount ears are fairly easy to break, especially if the block is not properly secured. Inside that crushed cardboard box, I bet BMW straps the block to a piece of plywood or something similar, right?
