its the nature of the beast in aviation. Start out real real low and just work your way up. At the top end you make very good money and usually only work 12-15 days a month.
Now look, I am not evil. My loan officer said so.

I'm paid 49.50 per "flat rate hour" (makes me one very high paid Grease Monkey).

However, as of late the hours just aren't there (makes me one broke ass Grease Monkey).

      Anybody looking for a Waiter?

A lot more in a couple weeks!

Yay for graduating in mech. engineering and finally starting full time. Same work, more money.

I'll be salary but get 10 hours OT every week at 1.5X hourly equivalent.

6.90/hr, plus tips. In a month it averages at 10.24 in the past 8 months. GOOOD money for a high school kid in Arizona, no?

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

What are you talking about "fix stuff"? What exactly do American's fix these days? Most of the time we just toss something when it breaks and buy something new. When was the last time you took your Plasma / LCD TV to the TV repair shop? Hell, is there even a TV repair shop in your town? Same thing with CD players, DVD players, computers, speakers, headphones, etc. Hooray cheap disposable merchandise. I've gone through 3 home stereo cd players and my dad still uses his record player from the 60s. And people wonder why our economy is in the crapper. Ok sorry, /rant off.

$10.00 an hour + full benefits (401k, 2 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays, sick days, personal days, health, life, dental insurance) as a part time bank teller. Which is pretty sweet. It's also kind of cool being the only guy working behind the counter with the ladies.

Full time student the rest of my time.

Yeah, that's what it averages out to be over here too. Well, that is if you're a driver. I'm an insider..so I rarely ever ever ever see tips. Ha. But I should, since I can make a pep pizza from start to finish (slap, sauce, cheese, pep) in 30 seconds flat ;)

                              Depends on the person...

I grew up with stories about my grandpa (electrical engineer) building the families' first color TV from components he bought separately, winding the copper wire on his home made generators by hand, building his own ham radio tower and reciever, etc.... So my whole extended family has the DIY spirit infused in them.

Also I have a feeling most of us on R3v or anyone who works on old cars would rather see something repaired than replaced.

But you're right, we are the minority.

You should definitely try to be a driver if you can. All the drivers at my store love their job, all the insiders on the other hand hate their job.
