Fall Out Boy - You Suck

I like live shows. I am more of a hard rock metal guy but when my god mother called saying her older son was sick and was supposed to take her other son and his girlfriend(surprise birthday present) to Fall Out Boy I said "What the hell, free ticket".

Man I was wrong. The screaming teenage girls were horrible. The shrill, piercing screams were worse than any metal show I have ever been too in terms of loudness and after effects of the show.

All Time Low played first and they were decent. 2nd band was some Dancy Punk band or something and was named Cobra Starship... they sucked hard. Multiple members I swear were not really playing instruments. One girl has a keytar and she only moved her hands to two locations on that instrument. The 3rd was the worst. MetroStation... lead single spend more time swinging his guitar around like he was in a fucking magic show than playing it. He played two chords back and forth on all 6 or 7 songs. He also kept throwing his guitar to stage hands and switching to another one... so he could put it on his back...

Other 3 bands tooks 15-20 minutes between sets. Fall Out Boy took an hour...

Finally Fall Out Boy... First they kept peaking through the curtains of the stage... so the crowd would all scream. This went on for TEN FUCKING MINUTES. Then we got to watch a 5 minute movie on some LCDs they setup on the stage. Something about earth and a swat team and riot. Then finally they came out of played. Cool... they put on a decent show until they finish playing songs.

Between every song they have a political message... First they talk about corporate greed and how we need change(Hey guys... tickets were 40 bucks a pop... not free. Your T-Shirts are 25 dollars and UP for a cotten Tee with a logo). Then one of the guys says 2009 will be the best year ever and one of the reasons "That fucking cowboy is out of the office". The humor in this was when one of the guys said "People said our fans were too young and dumb to understand this".

The worst part? All these teenage girls and random boys repeatedly throw up the metal sign during the 'hard' parts of the song... Hey guys... Dance Dance is not metal...

I hate that shit. 40 dollars or more was paid for every ticket. They spend as much time playing videos and talking about politics as they did playing music. System of a Down talked less politics during their show and they are more crazy political that Fall Out Boy.

STFU and play music Fall Out Boy. You suck!

Oddly enough, I went to a FOB show 2 years ago, and enjoyed it... No preaching, no waiting, an donly one shitty opening band (Cobra Starship).

p.s. metro station is the biggest joke of a band ever, i saw them interviewed on TV once. theyre too busy trying to look pretty (but the singer is still a tubby little retard) to learn how to play their instruments. they were commissioned by someone to "create" a new "tween sensation"
