I got one of these a couple years ago. Some of the hills in my town are straight redonkulous i'll have to get some pics or a vid. I got one friend who doesn't skate so he just skitches us around and whips us into hills sometimes upwards of 40 mph. Kinda scary when your board is only 27" but so thrilling its worth it.

A couple of videos Andy got tonight with the helmet-cam. Doesn't look all that fast, but I'm probably doing at least 20-25 when I go by him:

Got myself a helmet today, and I've been scouring YouTube all day for some of the best downhill vids, here's a few good ones...

Well, it finally happened. First crash on my longboard.

Noting bad though, just scuffed up the one hand pretty decently, the other is a bit scuffed and so is one knee. Was turning toe-side too hard and just lost my balance and fell forward.

Since it's built on the backside, all the roads are super long sweeping hills that drop down, and then rise back up, with tons of run-off and big, sweeping turns. Perfect asphalt, and NO traffic. We're going back there tonight, I'll get some pics and maybe some video.
soo im in a pure state of jealousy right now.. is bend oregon inbetween washington and canon beach oregon? im gonna be makin a skimboarding trip sometime next year and would love to ride that blacktop hill if its on the way

Just put some new wheels on the board today, super-grippy HUGE neon green 70mm wheels, wide as all hell. Can't wait to go try them out.

I used to bomb hills all the time. 40" sector 9, 180mm reverse kingpins with some abec-11 70mm grippins. A buddy and I clocked at 44mph down a hill by my place, people used to come watch us all the time.

I started feeling too comfortable and being careless on smaller hills, I fell doing about 30mph and slid on my hip for 15 yards. It completely ate through my leather belt and my jeans, I had minimal damage to my body but it definitely freaked me out. I never wore a helmet and that was like a slap in the face for how retarded I was.

Another time before this happened I was going down a warm up hill before we hit the 40+ mph one, I was tucked doing about 34-36 and some old lady going down the hill in her car pull up next to me rolls her window down and starts bitching at me as I'm hauling ass. That was pretty crazy too.

Now I just cruise around at a moderate pace.

I think this is the deck I'm going to get next, I really want something designed for downhills and carving, and I think this one will be perfect. It's actually raked forward in the front by 1/2" from the rear, and made specifically for downhill and carving. I've got a stress crack in my deck up front running along the 2 holes on the right where the trucks mount (probably from my crash) that make me kind of nervous. I can get a bit of a discount on it too, even better. Should be badass.

Andrew and I went out night before last and tore up a few hills we've been going to, getting a little more ballsy every time. We need to get someone to come out and get some video with us next time we go out. Here's my board as it is right now:

What's the laughing for? Because I cleaned your pointless argument out of my thread?

I just realized that the bright green wheels on that Landyachtz board are the same ones I just put on my current board lol.

Yeah, I have no idea what that's about. Been pissing me off as well. Only does it sometimes and short of wiping everything off the server, I'm not really sure what to do about fixing it.

Oh and Josh, the wheels on the Landyachtz board are "lemon" colored, yours are "lime" (more green). Same wheels though, just different durometer rating and color.

i recently started skateboarding. my buddy gave me his old deck and all i had was a pair of longboarding wheels. so i have been bombing down hills on it. well needless to say the deck is like a 7.5 so its really small. a few local hills now own meat from my body. lol i really need to get a longboard, im thinkin of a sector 8
