So in your case IMO really doesn't mean much.

Besides being completely ignorant to the legal gun purchasing process, you seem to think people with registered guns are going to contribute to violence, but you would have to be an idiot to kill someone with a gun registered in your name. Making guns illegal is only going to contribute to black market power. I am literally one phone call away from having a fully automatic AK-47 in my hands, do you think that is going to change when guns are made illegal? Do you think crime lords will become less powerful when the only way to get guns is by contacting them? Making guns altogether illegal is going to do the same thing Prohibition did in the '20s.

hahaha, If your going to bitch about guns at least do your homework and know what your talking about first. That way you can bring some intelligent criticism to the table...

Maluco! Thanks for the heads up! I joined and will get many of my friends who have been putting off joining to join.

It was my understanding that this decision would make guns easier for anyone to access, however that seems to not be the case. I just don't see how the NRA having a sudden boost of members is going to anything to sway the government's decision on outlawing guns. The only thing I have heard mentioned about the banning of weapons has to do with assault rifles, so why is that a bad idea?

Wow, this is an excellent idea for promoting non-violence and keeping guns out of the hands of people who should not have them in the first place. I put new/used car dealerships above these guys, at least the car dealers aren't trying to kill you and your loved ones.
Apparently you are not aware that the NRA sponsored the original bill to ban Felons from owning firearms, and to allow Blacks to own firearms so that they could protect themselves from hate groups like the KKK

Try reading up on some history before spewing ignorance.

Please stay out of this thread until you have a clue as to what you are talking about.

And I mean that in a good way. Educate yourself about basic rights.

You are ignorant about guns and firearms, firearm rights, who can and can't purchase and/or own them and you are injecting your biases, based on your ignorance, into the thread.

It's the equivalent of posting something like "If I had a speeding ticket in the past, am I banned from buying/owning a turbocharger?"

There are places to use cars with 400+ bhp, why does Joe Schmo need an automatic assault rifle? It goes without saying that I'm probably not that well-versed about the gun control situation (I freely admit it too,) but how can you rationalize anyone needing one of those?
