It's fine on an empty street with no one around. I know I posted a video of me running my buddy in his jetta and got in shit from someone for it. We were on a street at 2am with no adjacent streets or sidewalks for that matter, the only people we could have hurt were ourselves. We've all done it.

In traffic is just fucking stupid because most people can't drive the way they think they can and you're putting others at risk.

You should still take it to a track though.

My g/f gets the ricers wanting to race her all the time, I don't know how she does it because she drives like a grandma. I think it is because she is in an E30.

Everyone idiot wants to race you and when you don't bother, they think it's because their car is faster.

I'll always remember this one ricer and his buddies hanging out in front of a 7-11 type convenience store/gas station and I pulled up in the 1987 C4 Convertible I owned at the time.

As I was walking out, he asked me if I wanted to race and I said "no thanks" and he said "I don't blame you, seeing how slow your car is"

Granted, the C4 wasn't the fastest Corvette ever made, but it wasn't the slowest either. (I've also owned a late model C3, a 1978 which was slow and an early model Convertible C5, a 1998 which was fast.)

So I start asking him about his car, what he has under the hood, etc... and he responds with "I know your car is slow, because I used to have one (A C4) as well"

I asked him "Automatic or 5-Speed?"

He predictably responded with "5-Speed"

To which I responded "GM never put a 5-Speed in a C4 or in any other Corvette"

Then there are the guys who race you but you're not racing them and they think that they beat you even though you were merely driving stoplight to stoplight at less then half throttle and they were at full throttle and struggling to pass you.

And the "My father/uncle/brother/cousin/ friend has/had a Corvette and it is/was slow compared to my Honda" guys.

Being supercharged in the 318 is fun, but I have yet to have anybody really try to race me, luckily. I wouldn't anyway. I mostly just do very mild acceleration in stop and go.

Unfortunately my car is pretty loud (working on that; magnaflow is a no-no anymore) and probably attracts some very unwanted attention. I pretty much just wanna be left alone while driving.

Curiously, around here, I am always and constantly tailgated by fags in trucks. SUV's, stock pickups, lifted gay shit, lowered even gayer shit, you name it.

I can't stand how people think I'm going to race them just because it's an e30......fucksticks pulling up next to me on the highway and revving, stupid kids at red lights on the main drags in town, shit pisses me off.......I did however let my emotions get the best of me one day while cruising to visit my parents....some shit bag in a super p.o.s. home depot riced honduh prelude or some shit (this thing was so assraped I couldn't identify exactly what the hell it was aside from the fact it wasn't a civic and it was definitly a honda). He rolls up next to me on the highway.......he stays there waiting for me to look over at him, so I finally look and he points ahead....so I look ahead, then back at him and he points ahead again...I knew what he wanted but instead I played dumb and mouthed what are you pointing at.......he gave me the finger and dropped it a gear so I swerved over on him and watched him damn near loose it. Then he kept his distance........

hahaha! Idk why everyones complaining about racing the ricer boyees in there lil tuner cars. I LOVE handing there asses to them i'll do it almost everytime if i can see well enough ahead for cops. Best way to stick it to them!
