    My thoughts exactly..

They should paint the hood like an N64 and paint the intercooler like a game cartridge.
      paint sucks

why isnt it front monted??? the fuckn car isnt low, and its not like the bumper fits worth a fuck anyways.

I see it as a novelty, kinda like the Miata guy from SFL with the tractor flapper on his exhuast coming straight out of the hood. dont drift cars have to constantly change to keep the fans happy? so it will probably change soon anyways.

I wont even repost the rant ive already thrown up on my drift forum about how bad of an idea this is.

              Readers Digest version

              "p*V=m*R*T"

If you know what this means you probably have enough understanding of aerodynamics to see why this is a horrid idea.
Now look, I am not evil. My loan officer said so.

Though it looks bad, it's a very smart idea. There's very little IC piping. You lose visibility but then again, they're not always looking straight out of their windshield.

You also have to treat air like a fluid. Being that its entirely exposed in the air means heat transfer would be better than sitting up close to a core support soaking in a lot of the heat from the engine. (helps with intercooler piping as well) Also most intercoolers that are bumper mounted are being blocked in someway by either the front fender or the bumper.

With drifting, front bumpers and body parts get damaged. Having the intercooler higher up, you might save an expensive part in a front bumper tap.

The article says its for track/race use. Im sure some cool kid will install it for his street car but in all reality it was never meant to be pretty or used on a daily.

great idea, they miscalculated and installed it 90* off though, should be sideways to get max airflow when doriftoing

I don't get it... I would assume that's just for shits and giggles.

If they meant to produce a marketable product, why not go the STi route a-la-top mount IC???

That way one can slap on a cool scoop to really pull some air?

being that they are an aftermarket company and were not able to help design the engine to accept their product many years before most drift cars went from being daily drivers to drift/track cars might be one reason.

Another reason, a top mount such as the WRX or the STI is they get heat soaked. Most guys that build up those cars go to a front mount to take advantage of cooler air temps.

Even if it does add to the potential power of the motor, what are you going to lose in aerodynamics?
Looks more like an air brake to me.

Might as well cover one eye while driving.
