so if i pay the ticket and go to traffic school it wont show up on my record?? sweet that sounds good to me. Im not tryin to be a dick to the cop lol he was really cool about it

In WA you have the option of one deferral every 7 years. You can't fuck it up though and get a ticket in the year following your deferral, or both tickets go on your record.

go to traffic school pay the ticket, slow down and save the speed for the track. most people do something like this at some point in their life, just learn from your mistake, no big deal

In this state it isn't up to you if you can do that. It is up to the judge if he wants to defer your sentence. If that happens, you have to go to traffic school (which I think it sounds like you need) and then if you get another ticket within three years, the original ticket goes on your record and you have to pay the fine. Plus, if you get it deferred you'll have to pay a court fee and pay for the traffic school. Basically the upside is it doesn't go on your record.

Do yourself and everyone else on the road a favor and don't speed everywhere.

Here is another thing you can try that I did when I got a speeding ticket.

Call a lawyer in whatever county that you received the ticket in. Tell them that you got a speeding ticket and you need it to be taken car of so that it doesn't show up on your record and doesn't affect your insurance.

If they can help you they will send you some paper work, fill it out, send the ticket with them along with a check and forget you ever got a ticket.

I did that. Ticket was like $140. Paid $300 and never dealt with it again.

After one month of having your license? You're lucky he let you off easy, if I was the cop, I wouldn't have changed anything about it.
Just pay the fine, it's not that expensive. Go to traffic school, and it will go off your record.

If it's your first ticket, you can get it deferred. Don't get another one within a year and this one will be off your record.
