you live in jersey, all cops are tools. Especially the Jersey cops. I can't tell you how many 67mph in a 55mph, I got on the f___ing parkway. But they would write it up for 64 in 55 to save me the 2 points, like they are doing me a favor. F___ing cop tools.

I'm confused. So you knew your were speeding, you knew the cop knew how fast you were going, and your pissed because he lowered the price and punishment? The cop does his JOB. He doesn't make the speedlimits, and he doesn't make you drive faster than them. Slow down.

man im twisted over that....screw that dude in the civic that cop really should've used authority or at least called for backup personally i would've love to see him whip out the night stick and whack him a few times...though what we saw was not a display of a calm and collected police officer...presenting an aura of authority, blah, blah, blah....he was really was scared and said I'll arrest you for KIDNAPPING!!!! People piss and moan about how there aren't enough police to protect them. Yet the a minute a cop speeds they get all pissed off. Anyone consider that in the course of a police officer's shift they need to speed a little bit in order to cover their area of patrol?

That guy in the civic was a tool, but I think he *did* catch the cop in the wrong. My father used to be a police officer, he said back when he was on duty you could drive like that and get away with it, there was no checks to prove what you were doing (read, you could say you were trying to catch up with a suspicious person or something)

When he quit he said it was becoming more bureaucratic. Any pull over or anything you ever do has to be radioed in and verified. So if this cop was going 90-100 to catch up to a suspicious person, he would have to radio in saying he is doing so.

I would imagine if that footage went to the PD, and they check the records and see that this cop wasn't doing anything at the time, he could potentially get in trouble, which is maybe why he didn't do anything to that dumb shit kid.

This has got to be staged or that Deputy is a blathering moron. The waffleswaffleswaffleswafflessack Civic driver had no right to confront that officer for "speeding". No way is he within his rights to question a deputy for passing him exceeding the speed limit. And I would be the first to question any method used law enforcement that I thought truly without regard to the public. Mr. Civic deserves to die a gruesome death inside his slab enveloped by flames.

Honestly the video was pretty satisfying. I see cops talking on cell phones all the fucking time around here, not to mention cops cruising doing 85 or so on the freeway, and no they're not on a call or chasing anyone down, they are cruising.

I've been pulled over for doing 76 BY a cop that passed me originally doing about 80. I pulled out and followed him for awhile, he maintained speed then dropped behind me (as soon as he pulled off I slowed down to under 70) and pulled me over. Apparently it's safe for him to travel at that speed but not safe for me, a car with much better suspension, tires, that's 1000lbs lighter and easier to control than a bloated crown vic.

If you notice in the video the cop blows straight through a stop sign trying to get away from the guy. What a cowardly fuck.

But do you think they aren't. At least considerably more than a civilian? You'd be ignorant and naive to think not. Trust me, I'm the first to say that law enforcement is too militaristic and abusive in their authority. I am however also the first to say that a certain divide between officer and civilian is necessary to establish position. Thats just reality. A civilian cannot endow himself with the right to physically challenge an officer like that. That officer should have dealt with that COMPLETELY different. He should have established the fact that the gentleman (fuck head teen probably) was welcome to convey a complaint to his superiors but if he physically barred him from carrying on his patrol, there would be ramifications however menial. That cop was a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles too (as most are imo) and is of equal share in the blame. This clip was just the type to make one lose faith in the reasonability of humans...

cops are citizens, but while on the job they have the right to protect us. we may not like the means by which way they do it but oh well. And yes some cops are dicks and some are absuive towards the authority WE give them. But others are truely looking out others and are very pleasant and understanding
