The only reason they do well in Rally America is because MOST of the participants in RA are not backed by a factory team, thus the money mostly comes out of their own pockets. If I was in RA and was backed by a factory team, I'd push the hell out of the car and if I crash, so what? I just get a new one for the next stage. As for Block/Pastrana being in WRC, they tried to run with the big boys a few stages last year and did horrible, they simply cannon keep pace with the vets like Loeb, Hirvonen and the bunch. As for Subaru not being competitive, BS, look at Marcus Gronholm's entry in Rally de Portugal this season, HE WAS COMPETING FOR THE LEAD, before he wrecked, so that goes to show you how capable the new STI is in the right hands. I think I covered it all.

i would love to be able to drive like this but it was still not that impressive. the first one was so much better. the second one was just full of dumb explosions and light bulbs. you guys do realize that he could of run that cores 100X and then just edited all the parts he did well on together to make it look like he did it in one run.
i liked the first one better because it was more about the driving and less about the gimmicky shit like shoes.

Ken Block has only been driving rally cars for a short amount of time, but his list of accomplishments read like that of a seasoned pro. In 2005, Block's first year of rallying, he was aptly named Rally America's Rookie of the Year. As his career continued, Block's speed and skill behind the wheel became apparent and he was signed by Subaru Rally Team USA in 2006. From there he went on to take Bronze at X Games 12 in Los Angeles, and 2nd overall in the 2006 Rally America National Championship. In 2007 he had another strong year, winning the Silver Medal at the X Games 13 Rally and finishing 3rd Overall in the Rally America National Championship. In just over three years Block has amassed 19 podiums and 8 overall victories.

Plus, the motherfucker STARTED DC shoes...he worked his ass off for what he has.

the guy is gifted, i read an article on him awhile back. when he went to test for subaru, he was 1.5 sec off the qualifying time for the stage.....without ever driving a rally car before. to put it in perspective...the subaru factory ppl were blown away by his skill. so all of you haters running your man pleasers, stfu. i would tend to think the factory ppl are a better judge of skill/talent, then a bunch of haters hating from behind their monitors.

k, you contradicted yourself.... I never said they're didn't usually run a fast race, etc.... BUT, i did say that they have been plagued by wrecks, which means.... your no longer competitive.... Subaru as a whole, isn't what it used to be... On the street or in the WRC. I came from an STi, so don't doubt that I love Subaru. But i'll be the first to say that in the WRC... things can be better. And just cause they're pushing hard in one stage (Rally de Portugal), doesn't mean they are in contention for the lead overall...

I think it may be the jealousy, but there's no real reason to talk shit about Ken Block.... Hes a humble dude whose doing what he loves, and decides to share it with the world.... so easy to be an e-thug but I'll bet 99.9% of you guys would change your tune if you met him in person.

The balloons and light bulbs were were a bit silly, but who gives a shit, that video kept me entertained for at least as long as the car was there. I don't know Ken Block, nor do I give a fuck, that is some good driving. He could rape little baby ponies in his spare time and it wouldn't change that fact.

Subaru's do sound like pissy beetles. But if the sound of that poor little EJ spooling like mad, being caned to near death and incinerating it's tires doesn't make you get that feeling in your stomach you may want to check your sack to be sure mommy doesn't have it in her purse.
