anyways, if i were in england... I'd buy an E36 M3. they are dirt cheap over there. you can get beaters for 3,000 quid. If your on a 2 year tour, it will be over before you know it, so i wouldn't spend every dime making a decent car nice. If i were only here for 2 years, i'd buy an E36 M3 for cheap, drive the piss out of it, then pull the cool cloth interior and engine and max out my HHG shipment at PCS time w/ car parts.

Fish and Chips rule and Cambridge is less than an hour's drive! Pubs and clubs are great in Cambridge BUT mucho dinnero.

Visit the sites and enjoy yourself. Be smart thou DWI's are easy busts there and USAF Commander now is a %^&* as he has a curfew USAFE wide. I was in Moron Spain the other day and had to be in by 1am!! That mean I can't get in trouble at 10am ?

not that I know of. my wife returned from france for a WWII vet's funeral last night and had to be dropped off. If i wanted to go pick her up on base, i would have had to be put on a access letter or some garbage like that.

well i was thinkin about pickin up a car in England, but a lot of people here think that it would be easier on me if i sent mine out there. I was told there was a few mods that i would have to make to make it legal over there to pass the MOP inspections and shit. i will have to look into it.

An E36 M3 was the way i was going to go but now from what people are saying its not easy to ship back, which is what i would have been thinkin about doing.

What exactly would i have to do as far as paper work and paying out of my pocket to get my car shipped over there and vice versa

Well i would love not to pay...and as a former customs guy you should know the tricks of the trade....now if you told me and i decided not to do it...how much would it cost me exatly.

And if i decided to go over there without a car and buy one, how hard would it be to get it back to the states with me...unless i plan on staying overseas which is a possibility...haha

oh, and yes i graduate from Arkansas some time in mid early july and should be heading home in mid July for hopefully about it month. Ill have to figure out what exactly to do, my car needs some work done to it for the most part, my sub frame bushings are gone and a few other things.
