                        Eastern North Carolina style BBQ!

Real BBQ is pork...not beef. The foundation is a thin, vinegary sauce for the shredded pork. There is a place in Wilmington NC called Jackson's Big Oak BBQ that makes the best I've ever had. Try their Brunswick Stew too.

Kreuz (kroyts) Market in Lockhart Texas makes the best brisket you'll ever eat.

As I sit here trying to make myself eat mashed potatoes, mashed broccoli, mashed chicken and ice water. YUM

I can't help but think of this place. Make you guys a deal. After all this treatment shit is over and I can taste again, if you find yourself in Orlando I will buy you a dog from here. They are about 6 miles north of the International airport.

The fries alone are worth the trip.

Give me 4 more weeks of treatment and 4 weeks of recovery. Don't forget Florida is hot and humid well into November.

I think it sounds like a great roadtrip.

Lockhart is about 25 miles due south of Austin, out in the sticks, but worth the drive.
