I made this lamp using the crank from my jetski when I blew the motor
This is awesome. Someday I would like to learn how to start making auto parts art.
Here's a picture of something a friend of mine made for his wife:
"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process." - my friend, Número Veintiséis
And this was a project I was working on, but accidentally destroyed when it was 80% done. It's a locket from the movie "The Illusionist". All my own design.
I made this for my kids. Its made from one solid billet. Each square is machined inside the other and the squares are bigger than the holes so they can't be removed.
Those r the things I destroy just to get the blocks out. Something primal.
Made a teac style roof rack out of wood I salvaged from my backyard. I like working with wood. I ain't no magician, but I'd like to try my hone my skills when I come up with something else to make.
Just moved into a new house so I'd like to make some furniture.

Hah, we make these and a vacuum work plate on our military advanced machinist course. Bunch of plunge cuts into a block of different sizes then just snap the edges and file, pretty cool desk item.

Yeah I love em. Made it years ago on a Bridgeport EX Trak. I used a dovetail cutter to free it instead of breaking and filing the corners.
Been thinking of programming a ball inside a block. Wouldn't be that hard...
