I just wanted to say. I really like Iron Maiden

[cholyoke]

First arena show I ever went to was Iron Maiden with Yngwie Malmsteen opening (Jan 86). Malmsteen was a snoozefest, but Maiden were fucking amazing. Their first five albums are fantastic.

I cant wait to see it. I havent been this into a band in a really long time. Especially a big famous band. I even had a dream last night that I went to a concert of theirs in Argentina and that I was backstage with them and I had a brand new Maiden tattoo. I also respect them in the fact that they never got too overboard/if at all with drink or drugs. They seem to have always really been into it for the fans and the music, I hate sounding cliche but I dunno.

Hell yeah man, Iron maiden is amazing. I have their entire discography
in my iTunes. Current faves:

-Powerslave
-Run to the Hills
-Aces High
-Hallowed be Thy Name

And pretty much anything else by them.

btw, anyone else seen Flight 666? Really good documentary. Done by Sam Dunn, the same guy to made Metal: A Headbanger's Journey. Good stuff.

UP THE IRONS!! \m/ 0.o \m/

saw them in 03' when they toured with Dio and Motorhead and it was the best show ever. I have loved them since I was about 14. Best band ever.

I FUCKING LOVE IRON MAIDEN! Its been 15 years since they have come to miami and I caught there show earlier this year! Truely amazing. Is anyone else a nerd like me, that has all there albums on vinyl?

[jbsjunk]

I still have vintage Somewhere In Time and Can I Play With Madness posters sitting around somewhere...

I've still got a "Killers" album cover silk type banner approx 3' square, I'll get a pic if I think of it. I've had it since the early 80's. :pimp:

last year i had the privilege of seeing them for the first time... front row of the pit at MSG.

if you havent seen them, get as close as possible tickets you can. their stage show is PHENOMENAL! bruce dickinsons balls were in my face. funny thing happened during powerslave, someone threw a beer or something wet and hit dave murray's pedalboard, knocking out all the amplification. the song stopped and stagehands were running around to fix the problem, meanwhile bruce goes back stage and get a soccer ball! they started playing soccer onstage, the crowd loved it! bruce even was hiding behind egyptian eddie props and using them to block the ball, it was hilarious. all in all they got it back together and the show continued but definitely a special experience.

here's a clip i found of it. i was front row center PIT baby

Its funny you posted this because I've been listening to them a lot lately for the first time since High School (Circa 1983).

Another great band that I've been listening to again after 20 years is Suicidal Tendencies, Art of Rebellion in particular...

i listen to ST every day in the gym!

Lots of metal use classical influences like arpeggios and minor chords and such.

Thus the question!

Everyone has their own opinion, thats cool. I used to listen to a lot of Phantom Of The Opera in like '94 for some reason. I like classical and baroque music. Lots of metal use classical influences like arpeggios and minor chords and such.
