I heard McDonalds is going to offer a special in honor of MJ. 50 year old meat between 10 year old buns.

    Sorry had to

He didn't just have a tough childhood, he had NO childhood. He had a perfectionist abusive father, and was forced to perform from the age of 5. He was a superstar for more than half his life. Also the "didn't we all" in this case is a hugely rediculous statement to make. I am 100% positive there are people on this board who had a tough childhood, there are tons of people who did, no denying that. But no-one here can even come close to drawing a comparison between their "tough childhood" and a child star like Jackson's complete and utter lack of one. It obviously affected him in ways we cannot even comprehend.

I am not really fan of his but I also don't necessarily buy into the hype surrounding his supposed pedophilia. Let's not forget you can't believe everything you hear in the western world's sensationalist media, especially when it relates to celebrities. There are plenty of people's accounts both for and against Micheal Jackson but as far as I know never any concrete proof that he was a child molester.

Now if he infact was a child molester then yes the world is most definately better off without him. If not then we lost a talented and ecentric musician. I am not defending him as he was without a doubt a flawed human being. But you can't judge a person and disrepect them in death based allegations that were never proven. I am not going to lose sleep or sob over his death, but I also wouldn't be caught dead making jokes about his death or saying it a good thing.
Maybe I would feel differently if I liked his music, but maybe not. I think his music sucks big time. Not into that style of music.

As for having no childhood, let me invoke the memory of Helen Keller.

As for his not guilty verdict, I think a man with less means would have been convicted on every count.

Lastly, I am not making any jokes about him and do not feel his death was a "good thing".

A man with less means would've probably never been accused in the first place.

How many celeb's / rich people have been extorted in the manner? None that I can think of, except MJ.

Not all celebrities are as easy targets as MJ. He was obviously naive and easy to abuse and everybody knew children were his weak spot.

I have no idea if he was a molester or not (didn't know the guy and didn't care that much about his music or persona) but the whole story just smelled like a huge pile of bulls*&^.

This is a man who ADMITTED to sharing a bed with a young boy. ADMITTED. He's sick and disgusting and I'm glad he's fucking dead. Some of you sound like my uncle about the OJ thing. "But he's juice man! Juice!" So the fuck what, he still killed two people. This makes him a worthless waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles.

And he settled with that one family in the 90s in order to avoid a trial. Settling is just as good as saying "shit I did it but here's some money to make it go away."

              What is wrong with people...

                BTW,

"Due to the untimely and unforeseen death of Mr. Jackson, the release of his book "The Ins and Outs of Child Rearing" has been delayed indefinitely."

I would be upset if my commute time tripled due to this nonsense.
