No point. Just by making this response I'm continuing to fill his need for attention.
I just think it's funny that he starts a thread on bfc about "knock-off wheels" and having to "pay to play," then states here that people must be stupid to think he pays full price for wheels.
So he doesn't have to "pay to play," yet talks down to others who can't/won't spend the kind of money it takes to HRE's/Work/BBS, etc.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Probably.
I love m5s. Especially older ones. I dont doubt they are fun.
But heres my point.
For what ive put in the e30. I could've gotten an e36. Maybe a nice e34. Maybe a shitty but functional e36m3. And there are people on here whove done much more than I to their e30.
But thats not what i want, i want an e30, done however i wish.
Im sure thats the case with most of FMUs cars, and for that matter, r3v.

that 7 cant even compare to something like a stock m5. its just botched. i wouldnt even trade a stock e30 for that 7 series except to rob it of s54 and associated parts. the car might look better in a real color and without gold wheels and silly racing seats. put the rear headrests in and try to make it as stock as possible. then put it on proper wheels and tires and raise it up a couple inches. gotta fix those shock mounts too...
such a misplaced s54 swap.
edit- i havent even looked to find a build thread or any more info/pics on the 7, but im sure if i did id find way more wrong with it haha. i do see your recent post about modding a car that you like instead of buying a "better" one, but i dont think anyone was saying thats wrong. its the type of modding and result to the car thats in question. its funny the 7 has both flat black paint and super duper slam look.Last edited by lennon; 07-07-2009, 05:20 PM.Comment

true. i was really only responding to your comment about taking that 7 over an m5 any day. i still dont get that but i guess to each their own.Comment

Yeah, well again that was just an example. I obviously would not choose between a photo and this concept of an m5, which we haven't even defined yet.
Maybe i would take the m5 if the 7 is botched as it sounds, but thats not my point

dude i was going solely off the same info as you and off of what you posted. i dont have any more info than you that makes me think poorly of this car. i dont know what examples and concepts youre talking about. i thought you were saying the 7 seems sick, and youd rather have it than an m5 (stock? does it matter?).
you said youd take that 7 any day over an m5.
im saying i think thats nuts and i would take the m5 all day every day unless something was wrong with it or it was slammed and painted flat black. like i said, wouldnt even trade a stock e30 for that 7 after seeing just one picture of it. of course this can be turned into a debate about whether or not modding cars is right and what modding is acceptable, and where this car and other cars in the Stanceworks style fall into that. im not trying to go there.
this is turning into an argument and i dont want to be in one with anyone on here. you couldve just responded to my original comment with why youd rather have that 7 over an m5, then we could agree our tastes differ. instead you wanna make it all complicated.Comment

Lol. My need for attention? I didn't start this thread. ;)No point. Just by making this response I'm continuing to fill his need for attention.

And you're totally missing my point on wheels, but that's okay, because you're proving yourself to just spout BS because you don't like me, not because you actually have a point.
Oh and everyone, go grab a copy:

The car has an S62. Who the fuck would put an S54 in a 7?that 7 cant even compare to something like a stock m5. its just botched. i wouldnt even trade a stock e30 for that 7 series except to rob it of s54 and associated parts. the car might look better in a real color and without gold wheels and silly racing seats. put the rear headrests in and try to make it as stock as possible. then put it on proper wheels and tires and raise it up a couple inches. gotta fix those shock mounts too...

I'd take a stock M5 over that 7, you've gotta be nuts.
But a modified 7 with S62 and 6 speed over any other 7, fuck yeah.paint sucksComment
