Honestly, I'd probably want to join the air force if I didn't already have 5/6 of an electrical engineering degree under my belt. How much training do you need before they sit you in the pilot's seat? ;)

Go talk to the recruiter. They will often work with engineers.

OP, if you're young, do it while you're young. i shipped to basic just after my 28th birthday, and even though it was easy, every time i think about what i could have done had i joined 10 years earlier i hate myself a little bit.
