Going Camping PNW!!

ok guys need alil help from people around pnw area. im going camping in 2 weeks and dont know where to go. my gf and i want to go by or on the coast of oregon or washington. we live in vancouver, wa so we'd like to not drive any furter then 2hrs away. we like to go hiking so if anyone knows of any camp grounds near some trails and such thatd be great!!

2 hours from vancouver pretty much means go to astoria.

You could go to Cape Disappointment, there's some decent hiking there and it's a cool place...lots of places along the Oregon Coast as well.

The Tacoma/Mt.Rainier area should be about 3 hours from there. Also, Mt. St. Helens is near by.

Did you read my post dumbass? I said Tacoma/Mt.Rainier area. Mt. Rainier is near Tacoma.

I happen to love living here. I have lived probably in probably 20 different places in my life, from Hawaii to South Carolina. Hell, I even lived in Kirkland. Tacoma is by far the only place I would stay long term. I live downtown. The whole north end, stadium district, and so on is great. Tacoma is a lot more than just the eastside and Spanaway.

Actually, Tacoma is the nearest large city to Mt. Rainier. If the OP decides to go to Mt. Rainier, chances are he will go through Tacoma. The city is built directly on top of ancient lava flows from the mountain. The city is even named after the native american name for the mountain, Tahoma. Now I will refer you to this picture of Tacoma with Mt. Rainier in the background.

I just stayed in Garibaldi last week and it was amazing! Also if you can check out Pacific City and Cape Kiwanda, they are both AMAZING as well!
