    Colorado bound, need recomendations!

Headed to CO for some R&R after cancer treatment. Going to fly fish and camp and hike. Need some opinions on where. Also what hiking boots would you recommend.

Rocky Mountain National Park is a pretty cool area, not sure about the backpacking opportunities though, and I haven't personally been there but I hear that the Maroon Bells-Snowmass wilderness area is amazing. Good luck with your treatment!

If you head up near Vail, pm me, I lived there for 8 years and I can tell you everything to do there. It is a beautiful time to be there. As for boots, check out Merrell. You can find them at REI. I have had two pair over the past 10 years and they are great, hold up well. Glad to hear you are better.

Mt. Evans is a great place to visit. There are a lot of trails in the Breckenridge area as well.

Merrell is definitely the way to go for boots.

What part of CO are you going to?

"That John Denver is full of shit" kidding. Down South West in the San Juans ( Ouray, Silverton, Telluride) it's wicked cool. As far as what is easy to get to; I-70 Summit Co. Eagle Co. Garfield Co. (Breckinfridge, Vail, Glenwood Springs) all very nice." Asspin the beer flows like wine and women flock there like the salmon of capistrono." Personally I like Eagle Co. the best, good fir fishin Plus tons O hiking. Pm me I can help some when you get here.

Not anymore Merrell's are ALL now made in china and are not what they were even 3 years ago. I have a set thats about wore out that were ok from a couple of years ago but, Upper end Lowa's are the best IMO and they are german or austrian made

                        +1.
Maybe head a bit south and check out the Grand Canyon if you haven't recently. I find it fun to go once a year just because it's awesome. Whatever you do, have fun.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?
