Headed to CO for some R&R after cancer treatment. Going to fly fish and camp and hike. Need some opinions on where. Also what hiking boots would you recommend.

If you head up near Vail, pm me, I lived there for 8 years and I can tell you everything to do there. It is a beautiful time to be there. As for boots, check out Merrell. You can find them at REI. I have had two pair over the past 10 years and they are great, hold up well. Glad to hear you are better.sigpic

Mt. Evans is a great place to visit. There are a lot of trails in the Breckenridge area as well.83 500 SEC.....aired and then some

if ft. collins, hit up the red feather lakes area
ward/boulder/hwy 72 - hit up brainard lake, in roosevelt ntnl forest
or you can hit up golden gate national park.
as far as hiking boots go, i got some hi-tek's from big5 sporting goods, and they work really well, they put up to my abuse and come out alright..1991 325iC - Mauritsblau sumthin metallic blue. DEAD

Not anymore Merrell's are ALL now made in china and are not what they were even 3 years ago. I have a set thats about wore out that were ok from a couple of years ago but, Upper end Lowa's are the best IMO and they are german or austrian made
