Don't worry, Russians did their share too , especially after the war. Many countries got caught between the hammer and the anvil after the war. And as far as during the war, there must be a reason if Germans needed to set-up "Treblinka" in Poland...

I meant way back like when the Europeans were trying to keep the Turks out of, was it Hungary I'm a little fuzzy on that part of European history. Essentially sacrifing the Polish cavalry in the process.

I knew the Russians had no particular love lost and were only using Poland as a buffer, especially during the Cold war. I heard a rumor that the Russians had plans in hand, if NATO forces went east, to treat the Poles as if they'd switch sides.

I know this is a little old, but it was a Polish guy who passed through the Turkish lines and gave intelligence to the Europeans that allowed them to decisively beat the Ottomans outside of Vienna. If it wasn't for him the world might be pretty different.

And in 1938, Germany came back and annexed Austria... despite the Treaty of Versailles forbidding such annexation. The Allies did nothing, which is perhaps why, a year later, Germany invaded Poland.

Only after WWII did Austria regain its autonomy. Let's not forget that Adolf Hitler was Austrian and that a whole lot of Austrians were Nazis.

Read history about how Germany invaded Poland, took peoples possessions from them, kicked them out of their homes, marched them to trains and loaded them up like livestock, sent them to camps and worked them to death or executed them.

All this talk of the German invasion of Poland. Remember though, it was a joint German-Soviet Operation. And the Russians weren't much nicer to the Poles, think: Katyn.
Sure, the Germans weren't the nicest folks, but you can't just disregard the other player in the game (like France and Britain did).
Stalin's Gulags made Auschwitz look like a cupcake social. The big difference is that we, and the rest of the world, let the Soviets keep shoving it to the Poles, and the rest of Eastern Europe, long after we decided that Germany 'went too far'.

I highlighted in my initial post that the invasion of Poland was a joint venture between Germany and Russia.

For your info Artyp. Willy Brandt apologized in 1970. The silent apology required not a word. It was clear. To this date, Russia never apologized. BTW Artyp, it seems you won't give a fuck about several Nazi death camps in Poland and the millions of mothers, fathers and kids who got exterminated.
