    September 1st 1939 - Germans invade Poland

This was the first day of a 6 years war that showed the bestiality of humans.
Not long after September 1st, Russians also invaded Poland. While the mass massacres were attributed to Germans, the Russians also had their share. But they always denied it. In 1979, the then German chancellor Willy Brandt gave its excuses to the Polish people in the name of Germany. 40 years later, the Russians never apologized, putting all the blame on the Nazis, and even rewriting history as needed. Staline wouldn't have done that. Tens of thousands of Polish border patrols, policemen and civilians were assassinated and buried in mass graves. A bullet behind the head.

May I add that the Polish resistance during the whole occupation was greater than in any occupied country.
The whole Italy made friend with Germans - At he end of the war, Italians hung Mussolini upside down...
Half of the France was collaborating with Germans (Petain government) - while DeGaule was "leading the free part of France.
The US only commited in 1944, near the end, when they saw Russians take control of Europe while the Germans were starting going down. They simply didn't want Europe to be communist. Possibly the only reason for their involvement, not to mention the 1930s Crash. A war is financially good when you are "invited".

The beastiality of humans? what does that even mean?

I remember seeing pics of a russian/german battlefield years back. The story behind it was they only had a few weapons, but lots of (disposable) people. They basically kept sending people to their deaths, when the guy in front of them died they had to pick up the gun and continue. The germans had a machine gun bunker on the top of a hill, and the russians tried to take it down. The germans just had to make sure they didn't run out of bullets and not go crazy because they were killing so many people.

and yeah, the evil american government didn't get involved right away. perhaps because they were too busy being attacked by japan. ;)

It's funny seeing people write history they learned in another language translated to english.

Staline, beastiality of humans, a bullet behind the head, Germans starting going down, etc.

They are restoring a few of those camps out here in Idaho. I am interested in checking it out. Snow Falling on Cedars is a good book/movie with an interesting view on the events. Out here they used them to truck soil onto the lava fields to make the soil/farmlands that provide the potato to us to this day.

yeah with a happy ending where America came to help out all the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles countries that could not do it themselves. Lee and his family should still be sucking the dick of America for they could have been made into soap!

The other thing that does not get spoken of much is the Japanese Holocaust. Smaller scale then teh Nazi's, yes. But, just as dastardly. Take a look at these events...

                      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_100

They were rounding up bunches of Chinese, and Soviet peoples and doing all sorts of testing like spinning subjects until the popped from G's, surgically switching limbs from one side to the other of the body, feeding malnourished children diseased chocolates and bowls of oatmeal with lethal doses of opium, tying down hundresd of people to the ground and spraying them with all sorts of diseases. I could go on.

Excuse me? You are a moron. The US began the lend-lease program in 1940, delivering supplies to the British, Russians, French, and Chinese. American pilots also joined the RAF and the Chinese Nationalist air force. In 1942 the US was already winning the war in the Pacific and landed troops in North Africa. In 1943 the US led the invasion and defeat of Italy. The US had been gearing up for its entrance into the war for well over a year before the attack on Pearl Harbor. To say that the US entered the second world war because it would profit and wanted to contain communism are totally ludicrous. First of all, anyone who isn't an idiot realizes that war is pretty much the worst thing you can do for the economy. Secondly, the US would not have allied itself with the Soviet Union, supplied it with planes and trucks, and conducted the war to relieve the German pressure on the eastern front if its goal in the war was to contain communism. You are profoundly in need of a history lesson.

I didn't mean a japanese-american camp. He was from china or something (hard to tell, this guy is like 100), taken prisoner by japan and forced to work for their military or be killed.

Lee if you are interest in learning about the subject of the German Russian conflict, the rise of the Nazi party, the history of the SS and the SA, the WAFFEN SS and colaberate nations in the SS (SS NORD divisions, Latvian, ETC), first hand accounts from German Wehrmacht and SS soldiers both NON com and officers, & members of Hitler's inner circle i have MANY MANY MANY books i can loan you or suggest for your reading on the subject. i even have the books written by Albert Speer (the only member of Hilter inner circle to not claim not guilty at the Numenburg trials) both are interesting historical accounts and self examinations worth reading (but VERY dry to read).

once you do a bit of reading and talk to some WWII vets from all sides, you can form a better, more qualified opinion of the true happenings of WWII.

let me start by recomending THERE IS A WAR TO BE WON for a good idea of what was going on in the higher command of the US side before and during the war.
                              http://www.buy.com/prod/there-s-a-wa.../30050356.html

the book PANZER COMMANDER by Hans VON Luck is also excellent. you can learn about how the British basically used the Canadian soldier as cannon fodder against the Germans in every theater to avoid loosing British lives. here is a link to the wiki on him
                              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_von_Luck

at least you did get it right about the Russian genocide. they also killed many many many Jews, slavs, and "undesirables" but you are never taught about that in HS history class.

now on the the Japanese attrocities in China. try reading THE RAPE OF NANKING
                              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rape_of_Nanking_(book)
                              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanjing_Massacre

                              that is just the begining.

the US did not have clean hands in WWII either, i have yet to read much on the subject (because it is not a popular subject to be published), but i have had many discussions with US WWII vets on the subject. it was a real eye opener!

if you want to insite into the events leading up to and during the invasion of Poland i would suggest THE ORDER OF THE DEATHS HEAD: THE STORY OF HITLER'S SS
