Sped got pulled over, backed the cop down drove away no ticket, on Dec. 29th.

No really was going 70mph in a 55 radar detector went off jammed the brakes to 55mph he pulled me over gave me a warning and asked to see the radar detector he said I went from 71 to 57 in a snap and wanted to see the radar detector and commented on it being a good one and gave me a warning and told me to enjoy the holidays. peace.

Shut up, suck it up, act like a damn man. It IS your fault. You were speeding, and you got hosed. Now lets all whine about it and think of manipulative ways to get around paying the ticket!!
Who the hell cares that you got a speeding ticket? I am sure we all will have one at one point in our life, and 99% of us already have one. You are not special, so just either A) go to traffic court or B) pay the fine. It is your choice to press the gas pedal down, so PLEASE stop asking people how to get out of speeding tickets.

So to recap: Stop. Honestly, no one cares. We have been / will be in the same boat as you one day, and the ones who have a sack will fess up to their mistakes.

I agree about DUI, but with all due respect Rob, in regards to speeding tickets this is a bunch of horse shit. Speeding tickets have long become a source of income for the authorities that issue them. Speeding tickets have nothing to do with safety anymore. They are all about money. Heard about New Rome, OH? That's the one that got on the outside because they've gotten too shameless. I can go on and on.

Instead of telling people to shut up and suck it up how anout try to educate them. How about referring people to National Motorist Association, that advocates motorists right in general and has to do with speeding tickets in particular. Do you really think that speed limits are fair in this coutry? Do you think that the average car is not capable of going faster than 55 or 65 on a normal basis. Not most drivers most certainly. So then how about getting better driver training and better driver's exams instead of giving license to anyone who has a pulse? Go to their site and read some of the info.

Again, the system is designed to MAKE MONEY at this point in our history. Did you ever slowed down for more than two weeks after getting a ticket? It's impossible. Everyone and their grandmother going 10 over at least. How's that for a fair speed limits?

Anyways, the point of my post (in case you werent here to witness) was to comment on the enormous amount of people who were asking how to get out of speeding tickets on this forum, not to complain about speeding tickets in general.
At one point, I counted 4 thread just on the first page, and then a smart ass who drove drunk and stoned and then thought he would brag about it.
I speed. I wont lie. However, I wont come on here and bitch and moan when I get pulled over.

I've been thinking about joining that office in Keene that I visited in December. I'll be there again in April.

The only advantage of Ohio is proximity to most of National Solo sites on the east coast.

When in 1999 Montana adopted a state wide speed limit of 75 the rate of fatalities from automobile accidents went UP.

Got pulled over today Feb. 6th for 82 in a 55mph on a two-lane rural highway and the cop took my info went back to the car took a while started looking around his vehicle for a while 5min. came back to the car and told me he forgot his ticket booklet and to go buy a lottery ticket as it would have been a $250 ticket. :twisted: :twisted:

well i didn't read this post till today , I expected more whinning about tickets.

comments adding:

yes there are speed traps but they are obvious in most circumstances. most are in the city limits posted 25 and should be 35 or was 35 till the next corner etc

a good example of open road traps would be south of alabama state line on us231. every post office recieves a 35mph zone and a flashing light. your are going to the beach at 75 the the speed limit goes 55,45,35,45,55,65 within a mile. i think this is in 5 places. one place you can see the 45,35,45,55 signs while you are in the original 55 zone. now if that isn't a hell of a tractor crossing and profit maker.

another place is travelors rest SC us25N coming out of greenville. 55 to 35 at the city limits and they wait on you (the last one that got me)

places like this are all over.

bottom line is once they clock you they have your balls in crusher, just suck it up, kiss ass, remember your "yes sir, no sir" yes mam, no mam" training, Ask "I'm sorry did I forget to signal" never say yes i know how fast I was going. remember where the speedlimit signs are. You can alway say the sign said 75 right before the toledo exit. Really? I must have missed that one. If you cop and attitude they don't just send you to your room. If you have a roach clip in your ashtray or hanging on your mirror just to be kewl and you cop and attitude. you could seriously be stipped searched and your car could be dismantled and left apart. Probable cause. They know the real pushers will not draw any attention to themselves but push their buttons and pay the price.

bottom line of the bottom line. kiss ass, get it reduced on the spot or not at all. right or wrong that is life.

radar detector battery almost dead, forgot to recharge the night before, anyway,
88 in a 55 in the wife's Element, Easter Sunday, ohh well F* I deserve it!. $285.00. I'll pay and tuck my tail between my legs, I didnt mind the ticket I was being an idiot had wife and a zip of nuggies in the car, wifey said her heart was pounding, poor girl, thank goodness I got pulled over next to some cows to cover the smell.

Simple and sweet two days after i got my liecence I got pulled over at 1:35am going 76 in a 55 the cop drops it down to 64 in a 55... im good to go. ticket was only $110.00... Got pulled over in my moms Z3... good thing i saw the cop when i did, i was crusing at 95-100 when i saw him, he was prolly sleepin. :) I also had about a half on me. good stuff.
