    VW Nonsense

Whats up with al these VW owners on the Bimmer sites?

Before I ever sat on an internet I wouldve never knew a BMW die hard (frot engine rear drive) would ever lust for the fashion show that goes on over in that community. Its FWD people, get with the program. Old beetles are cool and everything, but damn, what a bunch of sweet muffins we have floating around here.

Que? I really like 1980's FWD Turbo Dodges. FWD cars are fun to drive if they have some pep to them. Although there are some things i got to question about the VW crowd, like stretch, poke and rusted hoods.

All they do is the same stuff you know camber, coil-overs, wheels, some crazy color, and maybe a rusted hood.

I like a lot of the older VW cars. When I was a kid we had an '84 GTi and a nice Cabby. I would love to have either of those in my stable today, perhaps even tastfully modded.

...tasteful is the operative word though. Poke, stretch, and rust? WTF?

Looks like you fit into that really well.

I havent seen any vw's with a motor swap in along time.

When you drive around with a spare oil pan, jack, 7 quarts of oil, and all the tools to swap a pan on the side of the road. Thats when you know you are being stupid or buying tires every few months because they are streched so far and have tons of camber wear on them.

                O see sig.

well new dub swaps are about as new bmw swaps. yeah most of em are more cosmetically focused but there's not much performance to be had out of fwd. plus since vwoa is run by fuckin idiots, they gave us the mk5 r32 in dsg only, scaring away all the performance buyers. the mk4 r32 owners have done some sick shit though, i'd say close to half of those cars are running FI since many of the owners are older dubbers with a bit of money to spend.

Yeah the older dub olders I respect but many of the younger people who drive them are just stupid. My buddy has an r32 and its a fast car but a real pain to work on. You have to remove the whole front end to do anything.
