    Ocd

What kind of annoying mental ticks do you deal with fro a day to day basis?

I gotta snap both fingers, and when I retie a shoe I gotta retie the other even if it doesn't need retying. I could go on for days.

    EDIT

And now I'm unhappy about the way I capitalized OCD. Great.
    Jah bless! :pimp:

I have a routine when it comes to my laptop and iPhone. I never really thought about it until today.... Everything I do on both machines has a routinely followed correspondance... I'm sure I could think of more

All the window handles in my car need to all be facing the same direction (down) with the windows rolled all the way up.

I also tend to align things a lot. Like a pen sitting on a desk, I'll straighten it so it is parallel to the edge of the desk.

I've got a bunch of others as well.

I retie both shoe laces the way you mentioned also.
If I crack my left elbow, I'll still try to crack my right one even though I know i cant.
My backpack straps have to be aligned perfectly, I always check when leaving class.
I play with neutral WAY TOO MUCH even though I know its safe to let go of the clutch.
I organize the food on my dinner plate to their own sides so they don't touch.
The speakers next to my monitor are always parallel to each other.
and a bunch of other misc. things I prolly don't notice/remember as well.

        haha.

I'm an all around clean freak. My room is very neat and orderly and the common areas of my apartment are as clean as they can be with roommates. I don't know if this fits with the conversation but I also tend to stress out a lot about responsibilities and it is hard for me to relax until I have finished them. I used to be lazy and procrastinate a lot but I realized it got me nowhere and now I have to accomplish something in order to feel content.

The volume on my stereo or TV has to be an even number.

I'm zero or evens, whether its the tv, computer, or car.

I like it when number's are divisible by 3 and are even. So TV volumes gotta be at 36 even thought it's a little too loud and I know 34 or 35 would be better.

It's so bad for me then if you guys think that's bad. If it's on my tv it goes to 60 max (tested it to know) so it can be divisible by 6 or 5. On my boombox the bass goes 1 to 6 so it's gotta be divisible by 2 for some reason, and my headphone height adjustor has to be even on both sides just like my backpack straps. AK, I have all those. lol

When bubbling in exams I check to see if I'm bubbling in the right spot and that it's the right answer to the point were sometimes I almost don't finish in time. Sometimes it takes 5 checks.

When I screw in parts on my car they all gotta be the same torque, I go over each lug on my wheel two or three times just to be sure. I think OCD is seriously deep rooted within me because I could go on for days and still not be finished.

Hahaha for me 28 is perfect but 30 is just so appealing...

I do the same thing, and I keep my alarm across the room (I have a bad habit of turning it off and staying asleep) so it's really fucking annoying. My clock has a little dial on the top to cycle between normal alarm one time set, two time set, and current time set. I have to cycle it 3 times, turn the alarm off, on, then cycle 3 more times. One time this girl from work stayed over, we both had to work in the morning, I'm trying to get busy but I had to keep checking the alarm, in fear that I'd forget.

I do this weird thing when I'm uncomfortable, or in deep thought where I wiggle my toes or fingers up down left right diag from each direction and in then out. Kind of as if I moved my finger to each point on a compass then pressed the middle and pulled my finger off. You'd never actually be able to notice it unless you stared at my fingers and toes while I typed.
