    Blue Angels in town this weekend...

    San Francisco is hosting the Blue Angels this weekend.

    The practice runs have already started, as has the whining by some on the left.

    For those of you in the SF Bay Area who want to see the show but not deal with the crowds and traffic, here's what I do;

    I take a half day off on Friday, hit the Marina Green and watch them perform their final practice run which is the same as they do during the weekend.

    Same aerobatics, but without the massive crowds and traffic.

    The Blue Angels are awesome.

    Here is a picture I took of them while they were over Lake Washington.

      I rode in Fat Albert for the show after I re-enlisted someone.

      It wasn't fun.

      I miss Blue Angels over Lake Washington from the 70's and 80's before the Coast Guard got so anal.

      That was fun!

        The Blue Angels are awesome. I do hope they come back with the Air & Sea show next year here in Fort Lauderdale!

          they are at every airshow here in Dallas/Ft. Worth, always the last to perform. Low fly-bys and manuevers FTW!

          Matter of fact, that air show, Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, is coming up at the end of this month!!! Thanks for reminding me!

                    I also got to ride in the back of Fat Albert a while ago in Corpus. It was kinda fun, but there's very few windows. Still, it's amazing what these 100,000 lb and up aircraft can do.

                      I saw them down in El centro (Winter Home base) back in the mid 90's, they were crazy then, and they are crazy now. The best part was when they fired up the jets to get that C-130t up on such a short runway.

                            Nice pic. Sometimes they fly so low you can almost see the pilot's eyes.
