You Canadians can come down here and work in my line of work, but when there is a big project going on in cananda we cant go up there and work even if there is a need for help. An when you guys come down you get more money and perdiem than US hands do. You are correct it dose happen.

Why cant everyone just get along?

Down here any New Zealander can just walk ( or swim lol ) into Australia and live and get a job without doing anything. Same for Australians coming to New Zealand.

Even though a lot more New Zealanders' go to Aussie because of the better wages etc.

i can pretty much agree with you on that one dela...people in baltimore are the crazy...nowhere near as hard as those in atlanta..lol

and yes my statement was a pretty general one..

ive been through the border on two total round trips..aka 4 times through border control...and each time they ask very detailed, specific, and sometimes personal questions...basically everytime you go through it you are getting interrogated.

do i think they are harrasing people? sometimes, yes.

do i think they do a good job making sure no fuck ups come through the border? yes.

should they fingerprint? im mixed on this. if they finger print, well then..they automatically have you in the system forever (like you just commited a crime) but that way they know its you and only you coming across and nobody else..so all in all it doesnt seem that bad except just another reason to control members of society.

i just think people who are good members of society, canadian or american...should be allowed to go through the border a little more laxed..it just seems everytime you go through there they try and find a reason to deny you..every single time. fuck let people travel. i think its even worse then airport security..ive been through customs many a times and driving through the border just seems more serious then it should be...atleast for those just looking for a quick vaycay in their ford taurus.

You ain't missing much. This country now blows. I lived in Toronto for 10+ years. I'm sorry I ever left. I was one of the few Americans to move to Canada under the NAFTA of 1991. Which failed miserably by the way. I had bought a Domino's Pizza in downtown TO. Wanna trade passports?

So the trick to becoming a NZ citizen is to move to AU and gain citizenship, then swim across?

If you have documentation to show you are a citizen, no. If you are a foreigner, yes.

Sure I see no issue with fingerprint scan? If you have something to hid well maybe you shouldn't be doing border crossings.

It's not up to Border Officers to determine if you can come into the US for employment. Their job is to levy tariffs and stop people from smuggling. Their job is far more involved now thou. They harrassed you? For seeking employment?

Sorry I find this hard to believe but that is my opinion.
