wow that really sucks, my family has always been huge fans of harley davidson and buell, my dad has an 1985 HD that is in mint condition and my uncle just bought a new buell last year. I dont see why harley would shut them down just to focus on the harley business alone.

Why is Harley-Davidson discontinuing Buell after the recent new product introductions, racing success and new brand efforts?
The Company made the decision to discontinue the Buell product line as part of its strategy to focus on growth through the Harley-Davidson brand.

Fuck HD. They just killed off the only good line that their motors have been in, and then feed us this crock of shit as to why.

Oh that sucks. My first job ever was washing bikes at a harley dealership, hated those overweight pigs. A guy came in on a buell and I asked "WTF are you bringing that here for" he said dealer oil change :P

Hope they come back with a better motor and more followers.

Heard about this yesterday AM, judging by how distraught Erik sounds in the vid I have doubts that an investor may buy the company in the future, it sounds pretty definite. Such a damn shame to see someone pour 26 years of hard work into a company only for the comany to end up on the chopping block. They had a huge following, so hopefully someone may eventually pick them up and pick up where they left off. Along with the demise of Buell, MV Agusta is also up for sale due to HD's weak third quarter.

I still plan on buying a Lightning XB-9S after I get out of college.

that Americans for you. all theses business men making triple figures want to play dress up with their bandannas and chaps. i hate cruisers and i loved what buell was for the American market. buell should just say fuck HD and try to make their own motors. that was the only bad part of a buell anyways.

Just watched the video that shit is hella depressing. harley davidson decided to cut buell off... (in the FAQ)

It is sad thinking that although harley is continuing their own production, they are cutting off a successful sport bike company, probably to further push forward the led sleds that are already popular...

Uh, have you seen Harley's sales numbers? They're in deep shit. The yuppie 25-30k weekend toy market has shit the bed. Harley is hemmoraghing cash right now.
