I just bought a PS3 a few weeks ago specifically for this game and GTA IV. After buying the prologue the other day finally, I am unimpressed. All these amazing graphics pictures are horseshit. During gameplay, they look about 1/2 that good. The physics are interesting to say the least. Maybe with a wheel it would be better, I don't know. Sierra's 'Viper Racing', back in 1997 for the PC, had a more realistic physics engine IMO.

This is the first video game system I've ever bought, and I only bought it because after seeing the GT5 pictures, I couldn't imagine the game wouldn't be amazing. Don't get me wrong, it is fun, the graphics are great, etc... but it's nothing like what it's hyped up to be IMO.

I'll stick with blowing shit up in GTA IV on PS3 and keep the racing to real track weekends in the e30. I doubt I'll be buying GT5 unless someone tells me it's nothing like the Prologue.

I've played Prologue with a GT Force Pro (the GT4 wheel) and it's no better. The physics are said to have changed quite a bit between Prologue and 5, so there is still hope.

I still have no idea why they changed the physics from GT3. It wasn't perfect but sidewalls flexed, and cars slid; it felt a whole hell of a lot better than this tail-between-the-legs bullshit that 4 and Prologue have exhibited. There is still no excuse for a lack of skidmarks or the retarded turbo modeling as well. Apparently in GT land, compressor wheels have zero mass as they spin up to 100,000rpm in zero seconds flat.

Guys......GT5 is nothing like Prologue, We have Skid marks, Reverse lights, Way better Physics and better sense of speed. Head over to http://gtplanet.net And just watch a few of those videos and then tell yourself that you wont have a copy on the Nov 2.

I wont be buying it because of that. however now that they started work on GT6, maybe they will get it right and have all cars with stunning cockpits by 2030 when GT6 comes out.

Are you pretty happy with the Renn Sport? I've been thinking about a driving seat/stand but they're pretty pricey and big. This seems like a good compromise.

This might be a repost because I don't remember where I saw it, but i want to say it was on the Red Bull Racing facebook page. Apparently Adrian Newey will be designing the top car in the game. Watch it just be the RB7 that he uses Sony money to help design.

^Its called the X1 Prototype, he could just design 'the ultimate chassis' - not bound by rules/regs. Apparently the first time anyone used (Vettel in a simulator) it beat the current lap record at Suzuka by 20 seconds! That must be a 1:13-1:15 or something!

I can't wait for this! I was pretty disappointed with GT5:P myself after completing GT4, but I have high hopes for the full GT5 version. I expect my marks in school to go down considerably :P
