So far, I've converted an old stool with a wider, thinner top that had double the mounting screws in it. I had to remove one of the cross bars to get into where the pedal set sits, but it's still not to my liking. Can't wait until my stand comes off backorder and ships, unless I find something else better.

I'm just playing arcade mode to get used to the mechanics of the wheel and get back into playing. That and dinking with settings.

wow, that playseat is proper...and rather inexpensive compared to the other stuff out there.

playseat is ok. definitely not top of the line but it get's the job done mostly. build quality could be a little better though and at least with mine, there's no easy way to hang the pedals down like in a real car. For really nice stuff look into Fanatec. If I didn't spend so much $$$ on real track events I'd swing for their kit. wrt to GT5, I must admit i'm kind of bored with it. i much prefer driving on tracks i really drive at.

So I got a Driving Force GT wheel and have been using this 20.00 table from ikea. Fully height adjustable. Not bad, and helluva lot funny than playing on a damn controller.

So how stable is this? We had them in our break room at work and they didn't seem sturdy enough to deal with a force feedback wheel.

same here, i turn it on in the morning before work and its done when i get home. my PS3 has been on for a week now without powering off.
