I did the beginner rally with my miata, and the intermediate with my evo. I found them really easy, the road courses were the hardest. You have to fully commit to sideways driving. And a tip, make sure the sports softs are on, I found its usually comfort softs that are installed, and the sports make a big difference

the snow rallies were so easy, by the end I was about 1:40 ahead of the guy in second, I could pass all of them in the medium and longer length stages.

Snow were the easiest. Constantly 12plus seconds ahead per stage in this in beginner hahaha. In two stages I passed the entire field.

Even professional class races have proven to be surprisingly easy in this game so far. I think one of the tougher races was actually in the beginner class, the Vitz race. I must have had a piece of shit Vitz because I would get overtaken on EVERY straightaway, I had to make up all the time in the turns...I think I won by less than a hundredth of a second that race and got a trophy for it too. In the prologue the Ferrari F40 race when you had to beat the GTR Black Mask was freaking impossible. I tried almost every tune/gear ratio and raced the race WELL over 500 times before finally beating it.

I used the birthday trick on this new game to get the older 1967 race cars the 3-gear Chaparal 2D race car, the 4-gear Ford Mark IV race car, and the Ferrari 330 P4 race car. I actually got two Chaparal 2D's....

I've suped up the Bugatti Veyron which has a max HP of around 1175 hp, it just turns like a wounded Wildabeast. I came within hundredths of a second of running a sub-1 minute lap on the high speed ring race (professional class Turbo event).

I wasted a sh$tload of money buying the ZR-1 and tuning it only to find it is a piece of hot garbage in this game.

Another highlight I got the "Dream Race" trophy but i'm not sure how...
Oh, and if anyone has any input on which car to use to beat the All Stars Event in Pro-Class without dropping 1,000,000 + credits on something like the Pagani Zonda PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

Can anyone comment on the physics compared to Prologue? Is there at least degraded throttle response for turbo cars?

I may have to get a PS3 for this game.

alright so I have a 190e EVO but this DTM version of it showed up in the used dealership but went away a few min ago. Who has it and are you willing to take 5 or more well upgraded cars for it?

Yeah basically the road courses were very hard for me. especially when it got real dark out and if your driving a standard car I dont think you can have highbeams but I cheated PD and turned the brightness up on my TV when it got dark

I just picked up the E46 320i Touring car, its okay.

You will most likely be disappointed.

The tires have more grip, even comfort tires. The cars feel like they have mass ( hard to describe but thats that) the ability to drift is the same and you can control the car at the limit realistically. The turbo stuff in the game is all garbage
nothing has changed since GT4. The boost gauge registers via the trottle position unlike Forza which actually has boost building in a very realistic manner. There are 3 turbo kits available. Low, Mid, and High RPM focused turbos. The turbo that works best at high RPM has somewhat of a delay/lag from boost (Tried it on an MK3 supra) but it is not very real at all. Cars dont chirp the tires in 2nd or 3rd gear no matter how powerful they are. they either grip or they spin all the way through 1st and 2nd since you are overpowered on comfort tires. A lot of people have called it GT4 HD. I agree with that statement but at least the handling physics are much improved from GT4 and the sounds are improved (though not as good as anything Forza has produced) . I say all of this as one of the biggest GT series fanboys there is. It should have been perfect by now, but it is still a lot of fun to play. Racing online with a steering wheel is a great deal of fun and I can see myself continuing to be enthused by it for the next few years until something better comes out. If you can get hooked on the online racing and look past the shortcomings then it could be worth the purchase.
