Being Lebanese myself, I do admit to doing it just about every weekend with some buddies and with my Dad occasionally.
Any particular type of molasses you like to use? Or special setups?

I like ice cold water with Ice in the chamber, starbuzz tobacco, double foiling the bowl with sewing needle holes. I forgot what kind of coal I use(very slow to light), but none of that instant lighting crap. Makes it taste horrendous!

well the bigger the pipe then the bigger the water bowl and the bigger the stem which are the parts that hold the smoke. I don't think you actually get anymore smoke, but it stores more up so the hit will probly be more smoke filled, but I can take a full 30sec hit and it be all smoke from my 13in.

I've tried this, and it just doesn't do anything extra for me, but the roommate swears by it (but then again, he swears his sister is a good girl, and doesn't take it in the back door)

Kids at my college were convinced it did. I think it was just a way to justify a pointless act. It was more the trendy, exotic thing to do.

I like the chocolate mint and strawberry flavors, and I only smoke it with my friends, smoking it alone makes me feel like a loser.

A bigger hose doesn't do much. It's all about your lung capacity depending on how much smoke you can take, but basically what Ben explained is pretty much on the dot.
If you're trying to get bigger/thicker clouds, try some ice in the chamber or freeze the hose like Ben does. Another thing you can do is put the coal in the center of the bowl, but that will also make it burn faster. Don't make your foil holes too big either, use a needle.

Haha and you're Persian! Well if it makes you feel better, my mother absolutely hates it when I smoke it, especially with my Dad. My Dad grew up with it by the culture, and I guess he understands the feeling of being someone at my age.

I used to do it at the hookah bar in New Orleans. Awesome place great food, quality tobacco and most of the waiters/waitresses will add some "extra stuff" for a few extra dollars (you supply of course).

ya my mom has tried it, so has my brother, and we are german and italian lol. my dad has quite smoking but he doesn't care that I do. Its my body and I can smoke if I want lol but the hookah tobacco has less tar and far less of the shit thats in cigarettes, also the smoke is cool so it doesn't burn your throat or leave around that nasty after taste.

you really shouldn't put weed or the likes into the hookah. the resin will build up in the stem and hoses and clog them up.

Started doing it a whole lot while in Israel/Palestine. Picked up a nice little travel shisha (w/ hard case) from a street vendor in Nazareth. I get plenty of smoke from that thing--it has far more to do with lung capacity & coals (lemonwood, please) than shisha size. And if you're sucking in clouds of smoke & not getting a buzz you're doing something seriously wrong. Probably either not inhaling or using the pansy brands. Try Nakhla brand if you actually are going for good smoke & flavor. And if you are a man.
