hey whoa man! all i said was i didn't have a problem with non-US citizens taking part in these conversations, i just wondered why everyone is so much more interested in our government's doings than we are in other government's doings. yeah ok its because of the war, i see that, but maybe also because it is such a great conversation piece and something to get pissed off about.

The best part about this thread, is that regardless of political party affiliation and disappointment in "hope" and "change", we all agree that Canada sucks balls, we don't give a fuck about that piece of shit of a wasteland and their "loonie" opinions.


Obama's actions right now show exactly what Bush was being bashed for. Military personnel and on-the-ground generals know the situation, and all of the military advisers can really sway your opinion on such topics. What upsets me, and this isn't just about Obama, is that a politician runs his mouth to be elected never fully understanding something. Congress did the same thing about Iraq war, they all cried crocodile tears after 90% of the congress didn't read any memos, but voted for military action.

Again, Obama is just proving that being a politician and being a leader often contradict each other. He's trying to do what's best for the country, even though he may fundamentally oppose it.

Criticize, good call. Everyone can bitch all they want that this happened but, if we had elected a republican this would have happened faster and more troops would have gone but it would have been okay to you and all the other obama bashers. Also a lot of republican praised it as a good idea when bush issued a troop surplus, but when obama does its time to raise hell?
