Yup, even in OK, our state school was filled leftist professors. When I was young, stupid and didn't pay attention to the world around me I didn't notice. I look back on it and see it now.

The basic premise of giving up risk/reward for stable job with no real expectations quickly explains the political makeup.

Actually, I did read that article in the post. Didn't find it particularly interesting. Some of my professors definitely fall within the 13% "conservative" bracket. Others don't. Really creative though.

I think it's a lack of ambition, fear of failure risk/reward type thing, along with the opportunity to try to program kids that their way of thinking is superior.

Although I guess if parents did a better job instilling values in their children, the schools wouldn't be able to.
