There's nothing more to say that hasn't been said already. Yes, they were wrong, you asked them to desist, which they did. If you really want to sue, go ahead and do it already. You are not going to win your case in forums. Personally, I think your making a much ado about nothing, esp since they stopped hosting it regardless of the finer legal points. I'm all for protecting intellectual property but common sense needs to prevail too. This country is already too litigious as it is. Oh, and insulting those who happen to not agree with your point of view is really mature too.

Where did I ask them to desist again? What "case" am I trying to win on the forums? That's right, alerting the other photographers that their photos have been stolen.

You are one fucked up individual. If you pursue what you state you're going to do, It seems like you're going to ruin this guys life. He's out there trying to make new parts for our old cars and you're here crying over one little picture that he took from you. Sure he took it without permission, and what he did was illegal, but you're approach of trying to fuck him over by everything he's worth is very immature. I say you should just drop the whole thing and just ask for an apology. Or be a big boy and let him use the picture. It's just a fucking picture! C'mon, don't ruin this guys business. I'm sure you would hate it if you made a mistake like that, and someone out of no where tries to take everything away from you.

Wow you are retarded, "sure what he did is illegal, but ruining his life" lol. Let me guess its okay to do something wrong but to have everyone notified of someone doing something wrong is worse!? How is the OP ruining that business, the owners are ruining the business through there practices. Last time I checked the OP has not requested anything more than compensation for the photo, he's not asking for the companies value unless its really only worth a photo.

Actually, in the initial post, Speedmind mentionned he didn't ask to remove the picture. He simply notified them that they were using his picture and sent an invoice. Simple. Then DTMfibercrap removed the picture thinking the problem would vanish away. Which obviously won't happen.

There were some pretty big differences between what I posted and what you posted - tone, for one, and the ethos behind what Speedminded was doing was another.

You reckon Speedminded is a d-bag for pursuing payment from those guys (when he was following the worldwide industry standard of invoicing for his work first) and were questioning whether he has the right to complain about his work being pirated when it was on the Internet (the magical fairy land of free work to plagerise and sparkly unicorns!!!11one). And then you put up 11ty other posts that all said the same thing.
