I like builds though. Those are my fav kinds of drinks.

I am also big into cordials ( after dinner drinks ) but those are usually more classy and a take a bit more prep to make.

Don't make them at home too often, usually just when we are out.

For an interesting twist, add a jigger of White Cream de Cocoa. Put's just a splash of chocolate behind the coffee/milk flavor.

One of my staples:



The Bijou:


* 1 ounce London dry gin
* 1 ounce sweet vermouth
* 1 ounce green Chartreuse
* 1 dash orange bitters

Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with cracked ice. Stir well for 20 seconds and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Twist a piece of lemon peel over the drink and use as garnish.

The one I always keep coming back to at my local cocktail bar:

Carter Beats the Devil

2 oz El Tesoro Reposado Tequila
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. organic agave nectar
1/4 oz. del Maguey Minero Mescal
20 drops (eye dropper) of chili tincture*
*To make chili tincture, cover Thai chilis with overproof rum for two weeks, strain.

Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, add ice, shake well and pour, straining out the ice.
