Mines nothing special but here it is: flac played through foobar2k>fiio e10>dt770 250 ohm

I have a few, smaller one is OPA2134 Burr Brown cmoy, then two Class A amps (one is doZ circuit)... cans are 10+ year old mdr 7506s. all are diy based on posted designs etc.

When i flip on the 1200'S, i have the Pioneer HDJ 1000.

I am sure most know, but probably not everybody is aware of this so I'll comment. Your system is only as good as the weakest component, to get the most out of some of these headphones YOU MUST use a dedicated headphone amplifier to power them. And, obviously your music source should be high quality as well, not your phone/mp3 player/crap notebook headphone output.

What are some nice (more bass-ish heavy) headphones that have the same fit and comfort as Bose AE2's?

price range??

a few head phones that come to mind right away are audio technica ath m50s
sony mdr v6's (less bass than other options)
my headphones (beyerdynamic dt770s) are great, the most comfortable headphone ive ever worn, but cost a little more, and not very portable
i also own Monoprice 8232 i got them for under 30 and they sound like they cost at least double the price. build quality is good as well.
the comfort levels are my only gripe but you can put beyerdynamic velour pads on and a beyerdynamic headband and they become very nice to wear.
these also fold up and have a removable cable

Sony MDR-V700 DJ Headphones. Still cost the same amount I payed 12+ years ago $150

^ +1. Mine now have over two years of >40hrs of use per week (use them at work), but the cushions are showing wear. I will be ordering new pads shortly.

I really like my Sony MDR 7506s, they're in your price range and are pretty awesome for the price. Decent ambient noise insulation (~5dB or so), rugged and unkillable (maybe not in combat), very good sound, decent bass...

great all around headphone.

Very similar model is the MDR-V6. No personal experience, but they're cheaper. Dunno how they last, but my 7506s have been going strong for nearly 10 years of daily use without issue.

sony MDR-XB700 FTW bass is really strong/punchy. meds are a little weak but cross over/eq fixes that. over all for $50 when I got them on sale super stoked..
