getting rid of my e28 535i what should i get next???

hey guys im needing to get something different than my e28 im thinking either a well sorted out '91 318is or a late model e30 with a swap either m30 or m50 or a stroker.
or go to the dark side and get an e36 m3 after i sell my car i should have almost 4 grand and my family said they would help me get a loan if i need more money. if i get an e30 i really dont wanna spend more than like $4500
but if i find a decent non abused m3 which is pretty unlikely around new mexico say around $8000 but i mainly just my my e30
what does r3v think ???????
