I think the e34 is similar in looks to the e30, just bigger and a bit more modern. Not exactly a pretty car, I agree, but is nonetheless very Germanic, sporting cleaner (and simpler) lines than most BMWs today.....

the Z32 is one of the ugliest car ever. if you think the 300zx is way better looking than the E34 you must be on crack.

common dude, someone put up some modded E34 pictures to redeem this thread.

Was not aware there were throwing stars under there. If so, than I retract my statement about the wheels.

I still think that e34 was one of the ugliest body styles BMW ever produced. On that note, I do like the e34 M5....but not the way it looks. They have amazing engines, and I like the interior. They're still ugly cars. Go take a random poll of 100 strangers who aren't die-hard old-school BMW enthusiasts, and I bet more than 90 of them say the e34 is ugly.

You can remove the "ugly" centres just like hubcaps... revealing throwing stars IIRC...

And I'm sure once you gave it a good detail and got it out in the sun, you'd like the colour too..... Looks like delphin?

True. And other than its ugliness, I think it's a cool car. I like e34 M5s just fine. Just an ugly body style. And this one is in an ugly color with ugly wheels.

One of the guys in our local group has one with a Borla exhaust.

That engine has one of the best exhaust notes in the history of engines.

Would anyone here own a new BMW without a warranty?
Agreed. In fact, regardless of warranty, I don't think there are many new BMWs I would own. They have gotten so heavy and so ugly over the last five years. I like the new M3 coupe. I like the new M5. Other than those two, there isn't a single one I'd want to own. If someone gave me a new 3 series, I'd trade it in for an Infinity G37. I'd trade a new 5 series for an Acura RL in a heartbeat! 6 series...ugliest of all IMO. I'd rather have a new Corvette Grand sport, which is faster, looks better, grips better, brakes better and costs $20,000 less.

Indeed... I think every hose and gasket on that car would need replacing. Of course, that being done, and a few other bits being replaced, I'm sure that it would be badass to be the first owner of a brand-new, 1990 M5.
