That thing is pretty cool! Whats the story on it? Not from the factory like that is it?

Basically just the box came camo. The rest was modified by myself. It took quite a bit of money and a few days of work to get it where it is but it looks great now and Im very content with the way it looks and performs. I recently put an LCD speedo on it so my speedo reading is now digital which is much better to look at than some floating orange neddle.

Haha! I'm sure that would help. Her 2 stroke definitely has more acceleration, even when we switch scooters. There doesn't seem to be any real cost-effective power mods for the ruckus. Maybe I'll try an air filter, but it looks like its going to stay pretty stock for a while. Loads of fun even if she can beat me off the line!:)

Maybe a gy6 someday, but its hard to justify now with only 175 on the 50cc unit.

I still daily mine, and your best bang for your buck mod on a ruckus is a variator, slider weights and a CDI. Other than that just make it yours by styling it the way you like. I dont think anyone has seen mine as of yet.

Get down to her body weight. I imagine that would make the biggest difference. To test, swap scooters for another drag race and see if the yamaha is still quicker. Or just do the 250cc engine swap from the chinese scooters.

Whats up fellas? I finally picked one up!! its an '09 with 175 miles!! I got it for $1400. The ruckus is tons of fun, but I also picked up a lil more respect for the Yamaha Zuma that my lady has had for years. Its a 2 stroke 50cc with fat tires and disc brakes. She can beat me out of the hole but our top end is pretty much the same. I love it!! My first mods will be for power (gotta beat the lady). What do ya'll suggest?
