I picked one of these up for myself last night and its a ton of fun. Quick enough to be fun but slow enough for me not to be guaranteed to kill myself. Its an 07 with 300 mi in like new condition.

I haven't gotten myself a helmet yet. What type do you all use? From looking around online Im liking the retro styles like the Zox Jazz.

nice what did you have to pay for yours? I got a good deal on a new 08 with zero miles but the battery is shot and the carb was gunky from stagnant gas. a few minutes dicking around with it and it runs great

You know, I chopped the bars and seat, and went for a ride. It wasn't as comfortable as the stock bar height. I felt too hunched over. I've since picked up another set of stock bars (uncut) and am much happier with the position. Stock height bars and lower seat are where its at for me. I gotta admit, though, it doesn't look near as cool.

Anyway, the bars in my pics are up for sale if someone has a decent offer. They'll need some new paint though.

Maybe. I love the riding postion on e30 fiends. Not going to be comfy for 2 hour rides, but its like a little cafe racer.

Still needs an oil change :( Lol. I've got cash moneys now so maybe I'll hook you up before you get back! It's still sitting all cozy in the back under the tarp! W00t!

Ill cover the cost of oil :p

Thoughts on the Can Am spyder? I like it but have not looked at one as I know they are far more expensive than I am willing to spend on a toy at the moment.

I dont know man, for one I agree its too much loot, But Im not sure id want to ride around on one of those either. Of course I would have said the same about a scooter a year or 2 ago too

yes same guy. Hes a bad influence too. Im just going to lower the seat on this one and give it to my wife. Im shopping for another right now for me which Ill mod over the winter. Im thinking motor swap and the normal stuff but i dont want to interfere with my car build. Ill get the scooter and just collect parts. i need to get my car done before it gets cold

I just snatched a new 08 with zero miles on it last night. Some dude won it in a mikes hard lemonade contest and never even started it. I saw it for sale last summer on CL for over 2k. He had it listed again for 1949 and I lowballed him at 1500. he ended up taking 1600 but the battery was shot and the carb was gunked up from 2 year old gas. Cleaned the carb last night and it fired right up. Me and super duper were out riding till midnight last night
Im giving this one to my wife and buying another to mod the shit out of. You have to see superdupers. It is badass

Ruckus update: Got a Daytona shock and ATR extension. Chopped stock seat and bars. Super fun so far.

I'm working on some homebrew chopped handlebars and seat. I also picked up an ATR extension kit from bowls for $80. I'm trying to keep this cheap :) So much fun to ride!
