How about the inside rearview mirror in a 67 GTO convertible. I believe it was originally designed to open Miller High Life. It is metal and can withstand thousands of opening cycles.

This does in fact work really well. It does also seem to work on most cars though.

The high lifes are twist off in my area so no opener needed..
I use the bic for any non twist offs.. once you get it, you can sometimes make them explode off the bottle.
