Seriously though, all this is is an iPhone/iTouch on roids, depending on which model you buy. It runs the same OS and the same apps, which means if you want to have apps not in the app store you get to jailbreak it. It also means there's still no flash support. Fuck this gay thing, and the horse it rode in on.

Well, for starters one thing they get a hard on for is media, right?

How the fuck am I supposed to load my pictures on it? No card reader, no USB. The only options are take both this thing and my camera to a real computer or buy one of those eyefi cards (which suck at everything else).

This is nothing more than a niche device. An ItouchXL. It wont kill netbooks, e-readers (which get a shit-ton better battery life) or hurt tablet computing.

It's not a desktop or laptop replacement. You can't put photos onto an iphone without a computer so whats the big deal?

I don't know why people think it should have a 2TB HD, USB, and all that jazz. IT'S NOT A LAPTOP REPLACEMENT!!! Ruh-tards...

As far as transferring the music, photos, etc, I can only assume that they thought ahead on that. Transfer, I believe, would be either via wi-fi or bluetooth.

I think this could easily be a main computer in the majority of American households. Hell, I only ever use my laptop to surf the web, email, listen to music, etc.

I wish the bezel would have been smaller, but overall I think it's going to be a huge success. Esp since the 64gb wifi/3G model is only $830.

Just realized the big bezel is genius.

The whole thing is a touch screen, when I'm holding it, rotating it, or showing people stuff I don't want my fingers touching the screen.

Lest they couldve done is make the screen go all the way to the edge. maybe next gen they will get it right. HDD should have no less then 2TB, and have an eSATA, HDMI,ports. and at least 2 USB ports ADEQUATELY SPACED apart so you can have 2 devices plugged in at once. ( on my laptop and on most computers they are too close together to do this .)

I've been waiting for the release and in the end I'm really not happy with it. it's like a weird alternative to the air. It still doesn't have Multi-tasking capabilities, the Wireless N and 3G additions are great but it effectively is nothing more than an iPhone and a book reader. I guess it would be a useful alternative for carrying around a Macbook, assuming you didn't already own an iPhone. An with no apparent MS Office functionality it tanks. iWork is a great idea but unless it works with Office I can't possibly see how this thing can be useful. The whole no multi tasking kills me on it.

Now, if Google merged the Android OS with the iPad Hardware and touch functionalities, That would be the absolute best system hands down!
