I've got a decent setup here. I'm constantly multitasking with work stuff on this pc, so it's crucial I have at least 3 monitors.

I've had the Dell 2005FPWs (on right and on left) for several years now, and they produce fairly accurate color. I have the LG 1920x1080 resolution screen now because I needed something HDCP compatible and something with multiple inputs (hdmi + DVI). Now I can play ps3 , and toggle back to the PC at the same desk :)

I have a 23" Hannspree that I've been very happy with for the price, they're only like $169 on newegg. (Under the name Hanns-G) My only complaint is a little bit of light wash out on the top and bottom but you can only notice it on black scenes in a movie. P.s. 1920x1080/1200 is plenty of resolution unless you're sitting 4 inches from your screen. Eventually I'd like to get another one of these and stick a big LCD TV between them.

I'd get 3 of these bad boys if I was you.

        Hello,

I am running two of the Dell 24" models set to there highest resolutiuon and a 3rd 32" for video conf. I have not sued any of the LED monitors but with any new tech I would waite for them to settle out on price and functions.

I cant remember the models we use here, but we go through monitors like they're fucking disposable cameras here at my job. I'll get you some model numbers in a bit...
But basically, we have foudn that running Dell 1908FPW's seems to get the best image for the buck. I use 2 widescreens on my new E series laptop. I actually downgraded from 4 1708FP's on a Dell optiplex to this. Love it. The widescreens have a thin surrounding bezel, sit nice next to each other, fully adjustable. Thats all I got for ya..

I was going to bid on this one, but it looks like seaman stains on the screen. Apparently, they are etched into the surface and won't come out.

^What exactly is your total budget here? That would help tremendously.

Refresh rate on LCDs can be set to 60Hz and you won't notice unless you have REALLY sensitive eyes.

Sorry. $250 to $600. I'll get what I need, not what I want.

A 21" 4:3(non-widescreen) monitor is about 16" by 12". I'll cut some cardboard and put it in front of my monitors and see, but quick measurements show that 3 would be too wide.

And my software really only likes 2 monitors, and I have to have one of a dozen supported video cards for my main editing app: Avid.

I'll stick with 2. Besides, that what the laptop off to the side is for.

I am just picking up new ones myself - I am ending up getting Samsung syncmaster 2494

dual 24" widescreen - for me to go widescreen I felt the need for at least 24" - I mainly use AutoCad - Photoshop - illustrator - sketchup - 24" gives me plenty of horizontal space with the needed vertical space

209.99 a piece at Tigerdirect / compusa 5ms, 50,000:1 contrast ratio - only down side is dvi (no hdmi) but for me it doesn't matter - they are for work.

I'm on dual 23" widescreens, 1920x1080 x2. Soda + DVD case for reference, although they are set slightly as a V towards me. 42" end-to-end for both screens (I had planned on a sharper V when I bought them to save on space, but had enough room to keep them almost straight). 29" end-to-end on the bases.

AOC 2330V, Mainly got them because Costco had it locally for $170 each (free shipping online doesn't apply out here, so this saved me a bunch). VGA + DVI, no hdmi (only came with a vga cable though). The button on one was loose out of the box but I never bothered to exchange it, it works, just feels different from the other monitor, kinda cheapy.

I've got two Samsung 906BW's. I absolutely love them, but they are 19's and 1440x900. So I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.
