    Here's my old setup:

Not exactly what you're looking for, but it was fun nonetheless--1680 vertical pixels is nice. Then my buddy got a 30" and his computer went kaputt:

Now I've just got the 24" at the foot of my bed.
    paint sucks

........Are you looking to spend from $200 - $650 for both monitors or PER??
      ~$600 for both.

I think I've come to the conclusion that wide-screen just isn't where it's at for dual monitors. I've done some cardboard mock ups and to get the physical size I need, to get the screen real-estate, you need dual 24" - and that's 44" of monitors wide. Too much tennis neck going on there.

So, I think I've all but decided on the 2001FP's. You just can't beat the quality for the price. All the new stuff is TN panels - and I sure don't want one of them.

I should have just done some math at the beginning.

My current dual monitors are 17" IBM branded trinitrons:

        13" x 9.5" (glass area) @ 1280x1024 = ~100 ppi (pixels per inch)

        so if I go to 21" 2001FP:

        16" x 12" (glass area) @ 1600 x 1200 = ~100 ppi (pixels per inch)

No squiting, fits on my desk, and more screen. Done. (thanks kronus)

        Thanks guys.
