Just general TV watching, occasional movies. I might grab a Xbox 360 or PS3 in the future. I am going to physically look at the tv before I purchase it. It is being used in my living room to replace my ancient, turn of the century zenith console tv, that was grandma and grandpa's.

          I have a 42" Vizio 120Hz model # SV420XVT

Great "bang for the buck" TV and it's highly rated on all the review sites.

Wait another month or so to make your purchase, as the prices on LCD's always drops in March/April

I paid $700.00 for mine and purchased it in March of 2009

They come with a 1 year warranty and I was able to get an extra 2 years for $99.00

Try buying at Costco or similar stores that have generous return policies and extend that factory warranty.

I ended up getting the 47" model, very impressed. It looks huge in my living room, glad I optted for the 47" and not the 42". I know I could've probably waited and got it a bit cheaper, but they had one left and I was antsy.

            47" 1080p 120Hz - $898.00
