    Once Again Bf.c astounds me......

just went over to the e36 forum for a bit, I know 90% of the people there are incompetent but this was the first post I saw....

    What is M Tech?
I'm going to be looking at a 325is soon and it says "everything M tech" what does this mean?

There are considerable disadvantages of being in the first page of Google results for "BMW forum," I guess the same can be said about being the first result for "E30 forum."

It's not exactly worldwide common knowledge. Not everyone eats and breathes BMW.

Can you tell me, off the top of your head, what AMG stands for? Bet you can't. Somewhere a Mercedes fanboy is laughing at you, too.

AMG - names of the original Mercedes racing department heads, Aufrecht, Melcher and I can't remember the last one, GroBenschact or something like that.

Besides, that's kind of a poor argument, relating what the letters of AMG stand for is more like asking what the M stripes stand for. The M Badge and Mtech are brands that are FAR more recognizable, actually...come to think of it, if you asked someone what AMG was they would say the upgraded or racing version of the Mercedes. That's why I'm surprised about some asking what ///M tech is. Is an extremely recognizable brand.

///M is the Motorsports division. M Tech is a set of sporty parts offered on non-M cars. Really, you don't know either ;)

He could be talking about a 94 325is Mtechnic, about 150 produced and was the test bed for our E36 M3. I had a very mint example of one and it was a neat car, just needed M brakes and engine. Or he could be a idiot, I just replied to a guy over there looking for a 91-99 E36 M3, had to set him straight a bit.

I was just on R3frigerator.com and they were giving me crap for not knowing how many hp my Frigidaire is.

they were all like "shut up n0000b', "i bet you don't even know how many cubic inches it is either"

                          I hate those guys.

my name over there is "hellacool"
