    my wife had a 99 beetle and it was a miserable piece of unreliable shit. fuck vw and their lifestyle bullshit. the way that thing was designed it was near impossible for the diyer to work on it. i hate vw so much.

    If she wants a turbo bug, let her.....but make her pay for maintenance. Corolla/Scoob/Honda are winners for low cost reliable transportation, except subarus would be fun for when you'd drive it. Food for thought.
